The Clash Group Patch
The Clash Group Patch
The Clash formed in London in 1976 and quickly became one of the most important bands to come out of the first wave of UK punk. They were loud, political, restless, and far too ambitious to stay trapped inside three-chord rebellion. While other bands burned fast on attitude alone, The Clash pushed punk into reggae, ska, dub, rockabilly, funk, and global politics without losing the urgency that made them dangerous in the first place.
From their self-titled debut to London Calling and Sandinista!, The Clash built a legacy around conviction, curiosity, and refusing to shut up when there was something worth saying. Class struggle, anti-racism, war, imperialism, and street-level frustration all ran through their work.
