Formed in 1976 in Ipswich, England, The Adicts carved out their own lane in UK punk by refusing to blend in. While many of their peers leaned strictly into grit and politics, The Adicts fused high-energy punk with theatrical presentation inspired by A Clockwork Orange. Frontman Monkey’s iconic stage persona became one of the most recognizable images in punk history.

Across decades of relentless touring and cult-favorite records like Songs of Praise and Sound of Music, the band built a reputation for explosive live shows and unwavering independence.
